Proud news from the OPACKGROUP Technology Centre! Optilayer recyclable barrier films have officially obtained RecyClass certification. All recyclable (RTR) variants within the barrier film range are covered by this certification.
Thanks to the application of new extrusion techniques and the use of the latest raw materials, the company has developed an advanced barrier film that not only offers excellent protection but is also highly recyclable. The innovative films – suitable as bottom film, top film and flowpack film – are now being used successfully for the sustainable packaging of food products such as meat, cheese, fish and bake-off products.
RecyClass certification is a European recognition that assesses the extent to which plastic packaging is compatible with the entire waste processing chain: from collection and sorting to recycling and reuse of the material in new applications. The certification thus underlines OPACKGROUP’s commitment to circular and future-proof packaging solutions.
